Description

We all live in a great masquerade. Hiding our pain, feelings and background...

I've had this picture in mind for over three months. I painted it in photoshop and used two models for reference. The clothing is improvised. I dont know how many hours I spent on this, but I can tell it was many!

Hope you all like it, and take you time to enjoy it. It has many details.

It does indeed. Great job.

I think that the way the wolf-faces blend into her wolf pelt is a little dodgy, and on such a skinny girl, I'd expect her spine to show under the skin.

Love the hair, the pelt, the face, the mask. +9

The two best parts of this painting are the marble texture in the background, and the fur sash on her shoulder! You've done a wonderful job with the lighting. IMHO, I think here deriere could use a little work (no pun intended!) (thumbup)

Quite good, but nobody see the hand? I think that is a "major anatomical problem". and doesn't fit this beautiful piece. But i lke it though +7

Well then KeremBeyit, Im not sure if its a "major anatomical problem", but i think maybe the length is a bit wrong on the wrist. WHen i move the arm down along with her body it follows somewhat the anatomical rules. thanks anyways

There is a problem with the fur where it covers the figure's legs. It's a tricky one; the figure visually "protrudes" far beyond the visual depth of the dark fur, and it would not be as noticeable if the translucent veil weren't the way it is. The veil cuts much of the fur off on the left, but not the body, and it's rather devoid of detail and close in color to a major part of the background. In addition, there's nothing to define the volume of the fur where it meets the body. The end result is a sharply cut left edge of the black "barrel", from which the body puffs out like dough from a pot. :)

There are several ways to correct that; the most obvious one would be repositioning the veil so it visually cuts some of the body off, too. Some more lighing on the fur to bring out its thickness would improve the perception too. A better but harder solution would be repainting the veil to give it clear volume and light-transmitting properties, so it is more identifiable as cloth covering the fur. The flattish, limp, uniform veil is one of the weakest parts in this painting anyway.

The color is monochromatic enough to produce the effect of a "floating" corset - it seems a flat cutout put on top of a picture, not a piece of clothing. More precise lighting is called for to to bind the corset to the body visually.

There are issues with anatomy, yes. The hand does have a subtle problem, but it isn't crucial. The worse issue is the proportions - the head is much too small - and the attachment of the head to the neck. It's not plausible, and the turn of the head does not seem to affect the muscles of the neck as it should. The net result is like a head being [i]attached[i] to the neck on one side, not turned to one side.
